Authentication Error (Tax1099 Users)

Overview

Authentication errors occur when users attempt to access the EZExtension API using credentials created through Tax1099. These credentials are not valid for EZExtension API access.

When This Error Occurs

You will encounter this error if:
  • You signed up or registered through Tax1099.
  • You attempt to use the same credentials to access the EZExtension API.
  • The system rejects your login or API authentication request.

Why This Happens

Tax1099 and EZExtension maintain separate authentication systems. Credentials created in Tax1099 do not automatically grant access to EZExtension APIs.

How to Resolve the Issue

Follow these steps to generate valid EZExtension credentials:
1. Go to the EZExtension login page.
2. Click on Forgot Password.
3. Enter your registered email address.
4. Check your email for the password reset link.
5. Set a new password using the link provided.
6. Log in again using your updated credentials.

Result

After resetting your password, the system creates valid EZExtension credentials. You can now successfully authenticate and access the EZExtension API.

Additional Notes

  • Always use EZExtension credentials for API access.
  • Do not reuse Tax1099 credentials for EZExtension services.
